Learn legal jargon and be able to read and understand every contract you sign.
Without this knowledge, you will find yourself up for responsibilities if things go sour.
Watch out for words like "indemnify." Indemnify means to secure (someone) against legal responsibility for their actions.
Basically what this word means is, if someone sues the company you are working with- they are just suing you because you agreed to indemnify yourself for the company. When you indemnify a company that means you are transferring all of the legal responsibility to you, and you have accepted it by signing the contract.
You do not want to be secured as the responsible party for the company's actions.
You can google "actor contracts" and familiarize yourself with the language to be a step ahead.
