Strive for constant improvement.
There are dozens of classes and seminars you can take, so why not take them? A lot of actors get wrapped up in going to auditions that they forget to practice their craft.
Auditions only give you a few minutes to practice and it's rare that you will get honest feedback, or any feedback at all. That's why it's good to get into a class or even private coaching.
In terms of finding a new skill set, try for something that already interests you. Have you always wanted to learn Spanish? Perform stunt work? Learn to ballroom dance? These are all examples of skills you can learn that can be added onto your resume.
When you have specific skills, you set yourself apart from many other actors.
Whether you are honing in on your technique or learning a new skill set, you are bound to meet people who are in the industry as well. Network with those people to move your career forward and continue to look for new techniques and skills you can bring to your acting.
